About THORChain

What is THORChain (ERC20)?

THORChain is a decentralized, automated cross-chain liquidity network. It provides a network of public nodes that support exchange on native chains to decentralize cryptocurrency liquidity. Through its solution, users, institutions and other products can take advantage of its cross-chain liquidity to exchange between various cryptocurrencies such as BTC, ETH, DOGE, BNB, BCH and LTC. The exchange is made with the Cosmos Software Development Kit and uses a threshold signature framework with Tendermint. It acts as a leading vault manager, meaning that the interaction of incoming and outgoing funds is handled automatically and in a decentralized manner. Deposits to the vault trigger token exchanges or liquidity additions/removals, and then outgoing transactions are processed.THORChain's core objective is to combat centralization and promote cross-chain liquidity. The network further enhances the security of user assets by providing economic assurance of asset security. All of this without requiring users to register or adopt wrapped assets. Instead, THORChain redeems native Layer 1 assets across multiple disparate blockchains. In the process, its RUNE tokens serve as settlement assets, providing network security that can and is used to govern and incentivize users to use the protocol.

Who are the founders of THORChain (ERC20)?

As stated on its social media accounts, the exchange does not have a CEO, founder, or director to lead. Instead, the exchange is completely decentralized in the way it is organized and uses Gitlab to organize development. This reinforces its anonymity, allowing developers to focus on delivering program code that increases the value of the system and helps pledgers protect their assets.

When did THORChain (ERC20) launch?
